One of our many “to do’s” is staying on top of the brain MRIs and seeing our drs here at UTSW. So today we are going through our routine that feels all too familiar but still completely uncomfortable—–MRI and results!
They will be tracking the brain today so no information on the spine area YET. Our ultimate petition is that all in the brain is stable, aligned, and clear! Our hearts cry out for that GOOD news but our souls remind us that no matter the “quality” of the news we are unshakeable….standing upon a firm foundation that is immovable to the circumstances surrounding.
This week I was reminded of the God who created something out of nothing (Genesis 1:1). The God who spoke and it was (Genesis 1:3). The God who made us in His image (Genesis 1:26). The God who blessed us with His very hands (Genesis 1:28).
That action of “blessing” (in the Hebrew language) actually forms the idea that He “caused us to kneel”. Lord, we kneel before you today that you may place your hand upon us, bless us, and call us forward for your purposes.
After the visit
So will I….100 Billion times!
“God of Your promise
You don’t speak in vain
No syllable empty or void
For once You have spoken
All nature and science
Follow the sound of Your voice
If the stars were made to worship so will I
If the mountains bow in reverence so will I
If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I
For if everything exists to lift You high so will I
If the wind goes where You send it so will I
If the rocks cry out in silence so will I
If the sum of all our praises still falls shy
Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times”
….That was one ROCKSTAR visit to UTSW. All in the brain is improved DRASTICALLY. This is the area that is being treated with chemotherapy (not radiation)….so for it to bow down to the chemo is a very GOOD thing!!!!! We couldn’t be more grateful for GOOD NEWS!
We stand in awe along with all of you! More “to dos” coming in April and May but for now we REST in confidence of the ONE fighting our battle
