SIX weeks into this journey and THREE more to go! The update we haven’t shared yet is that THREE weeks ago we decided (along with our doctors) to add another 28 treatments to blast the thoracic spine area (in addition to the lower brain and cervical spine). This was unexpected but we knew we wanted to get it ALL done together. So though we were hoping to be done this past Wednesday. The new FINISH LINE date is March 23rd! #WEPRESSON
The GOOD NEWS. Brandon feels amazing. Not just amazing like “amazing grace”…but physically, mentally, emotionally……GOOD. This has been THE MOST unexpected. Admittedly, we thought he would be down by now. Ideas of him losing his ability to work or be engaged in our daily life seemed to shape what we were expecting. The REALITY is that he has only been strengthened in EVERY way.
All we can do is say THANK YOU. In a million different ways. THANK YOU to our God who was faithful to strengthen us in the beginning reminding us to SIMPLY “suit up and show up” and that He would battle on our behalf. THANK YOU to our community of family and friends who have ONCE AGAIN rallied around us to provide meals and rides and encouragement and quality time for us and with us. THANK YOU to all of you. We know and can sense that you think of us DAILY and that you are faithful to pray for us. We still have a lot of “TO DOs” before us but our strength has been renewed.
“I thank my God every time I remember you.
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy
because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”-Philippians 1:3-6
*When Brandon began PT in December, one of his three short term goals was to bend over, pick up his daughter, and hold her with confidence. This last week he accomplished that goal and we were all the beneficiaries of the hope it brought with it….here’s to setting more goals and watching the miracles unfold!
