Be joyful in hope.
Be patient in affliction.
Be faithful in prayer.
We saw our awesome team of doctors today at UTSW. The news was not great. But it also wasn’t the worst ever!
There is some activity in the tumor areas. Enough that Brandon will start a 6 month cycle of chemotherapy. It’s actually a pretty great gig. One pill. One night. Every 6 weeks. For up to 6 months. They are not anticipating a ton of side effects but still we pray (along with all of you) for NO SIDE EFFECTS. For this treatment to put the growth dormant.
During this time Brandon will also see a new Physical Therapist and be fitted for a new brace to help straighten his foot out and up! This is something I’ve been asking him to do for about…..oh….5 years!
Also, seizure activity has been NONE since his trip to NJ, so he should be back behind the wheel by December.
I’m sure from your perspective all of this could seem HUGE maybe even sad and depressing and hopeless……but we remain joyful in HOPE. Hope that all of “THIS” has purpose beyond anything we can comprehend. Our job is not to define the purpose but to (as my friend put it this morning) “whistle while God works”…….so we surrender again to His plan and His purposes and trust that each of you will stand next to us.
We ask you to be joyful with us. We ask you to be patient beside us. We ask you to be faithful in prayer for us.
Thank you for who you are…..faithful and called to journey with us as He leads us in His paths of righteousness!
